A rough day with no one to talk to…

…then again, you have to deal with yourself for company.

Freelance Freedom #2 introduces the tonal screen element that will come to define the rest of the comic. Also played a bit with off-registration in the color. No one else probably finds these elements funny, but working in the print industry for years, you work with screens and color registration issues all the time. To intentionally insert them into a comic strip that will only be online? Anyone? Well, I laugh on the inside.

Moving on.

The strip is pretty direct in the gag. How many errors can we count in this primitive monster? How about a total lack of consistency in the main character? Don’t miss the last panel where his drink has magically changed from beer to milk. When that happens, it’s usually a good idea to stop drinking and probably head to a hospital. I also love how the NPC is wearing a white blazer with white cuffs on his dark shirt. You can buy that outfit at Insane 80s Outfits from Hell. Mention this comic and you get 10% off your order. Enjoy.
