…damn you straight to Hell!
So…I got on Twitter today, which I think I will end up calling a mistake in the long run. Not only was it horribly addicting, I’m not sure I’ve been saying anything of substance, and while that’s nothing new, it’s even more time consuming than just rambling on to innocent passersby. Anyone else sometimes feel like the more technology we get, the more we end up just yelling into the void? Not attempting to get too profound, there have been some fun aspects.
I do enjoy the rapid connect to people I:
A. Haven’t seen in ages
B. Find hilarious
or most likely…
C. Am starstruck with and can now watch as they ramble on about their own lives.
It is fascinating to see expectations change after even a few hours of seeing that while everyone can instantly share their thoughts, most of them are not relevant to anything. For a great example, just look at me twitter. It’s fun to comment on others’ hilarious writings but I wrestle with how much of a tourist I might be. At the same time, I have a feeling everyone else is once again, doing the exact same thing. Let’s see how this develops.

…it’s my eyeballs.
Yes, another day of very little sleep. Spent far too much time last night tweaking the blog. It looks like it may become my main website, as I am quite tired of dealing with my Flash main website. If I can combine my portfolio pages into the blog site, I will be happy. I don’t need much, I am just finished with dealing with Flash and it’s annoying lack of analytic data tracking and obnoxious updatability. I’m enjoying playing with WordPress and as a friend has recently reminded me- focus on the stuff that makes you happy and try to strip out all the rest. No need to have some big fancy Flash website, when something simple and low-tech will do just as well if not better. What I need to find is a website designer willing to do some trade for artwork, as I am, like everyone else right now, not in the best spot to start dropping cash on a big expense. This big pretty new Imac is splurge enough for the moment, and hey- THAT was a business expense.
I realize I am rambling and am reminded again that I need to get off the computer for the day, as my eyes feel like someone has poured green chili enchilada sauce into my dry hollowed out sockets. Too much information? Too bad, that image is now burned on your brain. Ha!

…time for Santa at the beach.
Yes, nothing I love better than celebrating the gorgeous weather we live in by sending a Christmas card with a warm beach scene. Every year I make a Christmas card with Santa Claus in an environment based on where we are currently living. Of course the time we spent in New York was depicted with Santa both on the subway and in a taxi cab, respectively. Last year proudly displayed Santa on a surf board checking the proverbial “Naughty” and “Nice” list while catching a wave. This year is even more chill with Santa relaxing at the beach with a frosty Corona in hand. Alcohol displayed proudly right there on our Holiday Card? You bet.
Now you too, can join in on the merriment and get your holiday purchase on. No one likes the traditional “warm seasonal wishes to you and yours” generic sentiment except maybe Grandma. And let’s give Grandma some credit. Even she would love a seasonal greeting that portrays warm beach weather for a change. Grandma has a sense of humor, who are you to argue? Well, now thanks to the magic of teh interwebs, you too can purchase a set of these fine cards through my Etsy page.
Ten (10) bucks gets you ten (10) cards, twelve (12) envelopes and you pay no (0) shipping. Want more? You got it! Get some holiday prints and a few one original piece of art through the same Etsy shopping page. Can’t get enough and demand more? Too bad, there isn’t any more. Get the cards, send them out and rub it in the faces of your loved ones that you live in a warm climate and they don’t. Get them today! Two different versions to choose from:
Surf's Up Santa
Santa's Day at the Beach
Happy Holidays, hope everyone’s Thanksgiving was enjoyable.
