Number Twenty Has Arrived!

by ncwinters on March 23, 2011

I know, more exciting for me than you, but per my previous post, I’m a big fan of the number twenty. This was a fun one: acrylic background and then ink built up and layered with acrylics. Without further adieu, here it is. Enjoy!

Number Nineteen…

…so close to my favorite number!

Yes, I have an affinity for the number Twenty. Have all my life. Not sure why, maybe only because it’s the perfect number- four fives, two tens, five fours, idaknow. I’ve always loved it.

But that’s not why we’re here.

We’re here to celebrate the arrival of Lovely Number Nineteen of 100 Drawings into the world. I was almost gonna save this one for my aforementioned favorite number, so it’s definitely no slouch. One of the funner “drawings” I’ve done so far, with the corrosion and color scheme and deterioration I love so well. Enjoy Artifactual: acrylic on heavy watercolor paper.

Acrylic and ink on paper. 7.5″ x 8.75″ (2011)
Number 19 of 100 Drawings.

So Emerges Number 18…

More woodgrain!

I could just paint wood texture all day. You might think it’s all I already do. I have a long term theme of wood, metal and flesh I’ve been developing and someday will combine it all into a cohesive collection with statement. Until then, more drawings and paintings of wood, and people trapped in trees. Enjoy.
