This was a fun one if a little too crazy involved with the detail. There was much excitement with my progress shots on Instagram, so Imma be releasing this in a small run of prints most likely next week. Until then, enjoy Necrotic Tidings.

Gallery1988 (WEST) is proud to announce that this Friday, June 21st, we will open “SPACE: The Gallery Show,” a group exhibit curated by artist Mike Mitchell. The show, which will celebrate the past, present & future of space exploration and the awesomeness that is the universe, will feature over 50 amazing artists all working in many different mediums. This show promises to be new, unique and memorable – and people may want to get to the gallery early for “first in line giveaways.”
I’m very excited about this show, in large part due to the amazing time I had creating my pieces for the show. Yes, I said pieces, I had so much fun working on the show that I did no less than six paintings for the show, and will have one print release as well. In researching galactic imagery, I fell in love with the gorgeous photos of nebulae throughout our universe. In preparing for one of the largest paintings I’ve made to date, I started doing studies. And studies. And more studies. I couldn’t help but finish them, and mounted and resined five additional paintings to my large 20″ x 27″ beast. The big one is entitled “Starstuff” and will be accompanied by a limited edition of 30 hand signed and numbered giclée prints, available first at the show opening and later online through Gallery 1988’s website. I will be at the show this Friday, come by, see the amazing art and say hello! Enjoy!
