A new finished drawing, number eleven of the year so far.
Just finished up the seminar at Marcas Gallery on Saturday. Trekell Art Supplies sponsored the event and even gave away a bottle of paint and a free brush to the first 20 people in the seminar, which was incredibly gracious. The seats were filled, with standing room only. I talked for longer than I can remember, and it seems to have been well received, but I never know just how helpful or insightful anything I say about art making might be. Many had kind things to say though, so I’m pretty confident it went well.
I’ll be on a new podcast tomorrow on Products of the Mind, but I’ll talk about that soon on the next post.
For now, enjoy “From Earth to the Sky.”

Pieces get started, pieces get finished.
This is the flow I’m striving for this year. In my heart, I know it’s fleeting, as the deadlines for other “real” projects and commitments start to rear their ugly, promising heads. It’s all about a balance of taking on the right projects, but there is a concerted effort this year to really put some heavy time into maintaining this flow as long as I possibly fucking can. When it’s gone, I’m a miserable person, and everyone close to me can tell. Let’s see if it can continue, and hopefully as long as possible…
Enjoy “Factory Fresh.”

New print release- first of 2016!
I’m going to try and return to my “new print release each month” mantra from last year. I think I kept to it, but honestly have a strong feeling I faded out near the end of the year. I will try to do a few more print releases, but keep the print runs rather small. My goal is to get prints into the hands of people who don’t necessarily have the funds for an original but also not flood the market with a million prints. I do almost all my own printing, and my own packing and shipping, as I am indeed a one-man shop so this keeps my workload sane as well.
“Quiet Rapture” is the first print release of the year, one of the early completed works from the ongoing 366 Days of Winters project. So far, I’ve kept to a new bit of art every day for 2016, but of course, it’s still too early to see how this experiment will pan out. I am confident that it’ll come together though! The print is a highest-quality art giclée print made with archival inks on acid-free 100% cotton. Each print is hand signed and numbered and available in a limited edition of only 15 prints made. Prints measure 8″ x 10″ and are available for $35 each and shipped flat. Prints will go live for purchase Friday, January 29. As always, to get the exact drop time, sign up for my newsletter in the sidebar.
Thanks as always for all the support!
