Very excited to reveal a gig poster for a big bucket list band: Metallica.

This is actually my second Metallica poster, after one for another gig earlier in October, but I’m still awaiting those prints due to a printing issue. I was hoping to release both posters together, but it’s been a long wait and I want to finally get these out in the world. This was a dream project, as I vividly remember the iconic art and posters as a teenager, most specifically from Pushead. I loved the intensity of the images, which resonated pretty heavily in my young creative brain. It’s an honor to be able to contribute in my own way, years later.
This poster is the first in a recent series where I worked completely from dark to light.Normally I work the other way around, making black marks on a white substrate, but this time I had a creative itch I had to scratch, and this Metallica poster was the perfect fit to dive in. I’m extremely pleased with the result. I layered a ton of detail and dozens of little faces and secrets in the print, that I hope the viewer is able to take their time and explore. My artist variant colorway features a green schema as a six color screenprint on bright white stock, with both rainbow and gold foils also available in limited quantities.
The prints will go live for purchase this coming Wednesday, December 5 at a random time, once again with strict limits of one of each variant per person. Also, I’m continuing my efforts to try and combat some of the flagrant flipping and bot purchases that have been pervading my storefront, in the efforts to keep the prints as available for as many as possible. Buyers found using bots and/or flipping the prints right to eBay at mega markups can expect to have their orders refunded and blacklisted from future sales.
