New Gig Poster: WEEN!

Ween!

Excited to announce a new DOUBLE gig poster for the band Ween. This poster was for a two-night gig in December, but got pushed back due to holiday scheduling. It was a blast to design this back-to-back gig poster for two nights at the Capitol Theatre, December 15 and 16. The posters are *almost* complete mirror images of each other, but I couldn’t resist playing with the shading to make it a little more dynamic. There are both show edition prints available as well as an artist colorway variant, with rainbow foil options in limited quantities for both colorways. And yes, there is an uncut full sheet version in very limited quantities, but that will go up at a later date. Stay tuned for details on those.

The prints will drop this coming Friday, January 18, at a random time. As always, newsletter subscribers will get the exact drop time. There’s a strict limit of one kind of poster per person/household, but you can certainly purchase one of each kind, so for example: the December 15 regular AND the December 16 regular AND the December 15 foil AND the December 16 foil, but NOT TWO of the December 15 in any version, etc. You can collect the set, but not multiples of each. Additionally, the efforts to combat bots and direct-to-eBay flipping are still ongoing, so pay close attention to the storefront on the drop day.

Happy New Year!

I’m thrilled to announce a new gig poster for Metallica. Sorry for the late notice, the gig was a few months ago, but there was a snag with my artist edition prints, and then the holidays, and then travel, etc etc. This was actually the first Metallica poster I did, a few weeks before my other one. Different vibe on this one for sure, but in the same “light-from-dark” method of creation, a technique I will be diving back into with gusto for future works. Went with a pretty straightforward narrative on this one, loved the tour’s title “Hard Wired to Self Destruct” and I of course couldn’t resist playing with themes based around those imagery-laden words. 

The colorway was modified for the artist variant at the last minute for this one, due to some printing issues, and I ended up going (again) with a purple theme. Has not necessarily been intentional, but I see that it’s sort of becoming my go-to, so I’ll have to mull over whether that’s a good or bad thing. I’m a huge fan of purple and if it ain’t broke…. Prints are the usual size: 18″ x 24″ in a couple different variant options. Main purple colorway artist variant on bright white comes in a limited edition of 60, each hand signed and numbered, and available for $60 each. Purple colorway on rainbow foil comes in an edition of 30, each signed and numbered, for $150 each. And the super-limited gold foil variant, limited to only 20 copies, and available for $165 each. As always, the drop time will be random, unless you’re signed up for the newsletter, where I’ll let you know the time in the body of the newsletter email.

Please note that I’m still limiting individual variants to one per person, though you are welcome to buy the full set (if you’re fast enough). Buyers found buying more than one of each individual print will have their orders cancelled. And also, I’m still trying to do my best to combat bots and buyers looking to game the system, buying prints under multiple accounts with the sole intention of flipping right to ebay, so there may be some adjustments on the fly during the drop, in the attempts to keep things as fair for everyone. Buyers found gaming the system will have orders refunded and blocked from future orders. You’ve been warned!
